Tying up loose ends

So there really hasn't been to much to write about since my last post, but I guess I can write about somethings that I have done that I haven't written about previously.

A few weeks ago I went skiing in an indoor ski hall. Yes you read that correctly, indoor. The ski hall was in a small town about a 45 minute tram ride from Dusseldorf called Neuss. When you first walked in the front doors the large entrance foyer is decorated in Bavarian style. There was a ski shop and a cute little restaurant with windows that looked out into the ski slope.

At the ski hall you were able to rent skis and boots and poles. This was really nice. There was only one run and it wasn't exactly a black diamond run, but it was still fun. There was a chair lift on one side and then a rope tow type thing on the other side.

Another interesting thing that I have done recently is go to the movie theater. It was the first time I have been to see a movie since I have been over here. There really aren't very many options for movies in English. Also movies come out over here a little later than they do back in the states. The theatre was really nice. It was funny being able to order a beer at the snack counter. What was stranger was that they don't just give you your beer, they also give you a pretty glass to pour it into.

Other than that I haven't really done too much lately. I have been working alot and have been babysitting a lot of nights. The weather has also been pretty bad here. I am excited for my trip to Ireland though. My friends Eugenia, Katie, and I are going to be headed to Ireland for a week on the 5th of April. I am really excited because I have always wanted to go to Ireland. I hope that the weather wont be awful there, but just in case I plan on buying a new umbrella.
